Clubs and Activities at United School
United School places strong emphasis on holistic development, and extracurricular activities (ECAs) are a core part of our learning approach. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of structured activities that foster creativity, leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility.
Club Activities
United School offers various clubs, allowing students to explore their interests and build new skills under the guidance of professional trainers. Students from Grade III and above select two activities, one from each category below:
Sports Club
Students engage in physical development and teamwork through:

From Grade I onwards, students are placed into one of four houses. They participate in inter-house competitions that include:

Excursions & Educational Trips
At United School, we believe in learning beyond the classroom. Educational trips help students relate academic concepts to real-life experiences.
Day Outings
Each term, students participate in a day-long field trip. Teachers integrate subject-specific learning goals and follow up with:

Out-of-Valley Trips
From Grade VII onwards, students explore different districts across Nepal, enhancing their knowledge of local geography, culture, and history.
Cross-Country Tours

Talk Programs
Every month, United School invites industry experts and professionals to speak with students. These sessions inspire, motivate, and provide insights into real-world challenges and opportunities.
After-School Clubs
United School has various after-school clubs like cricket, basketball, football, and swimming, where students learn from a professional coach. These clubs are conducted after school (from 3:30 to 5 pm)
Students perform their ECA knowledge and skills during the session through class-wise parents' days. They compete in various sports and athletics during sports days held in a stadium.
Special Programs at United School
Project Work
Each term, students complete subject-based projects, totaling 24 across the academic year. Projects are evaluated by a panel of experts, and the top three projects per class and subject receive awards.
Student as 'Professor' (SAP)
A unique initiative where students present academic content to their peers, enhancing their public speaking, subject mastery, and confidence in handling questions.
United Reading Program
Students read at least three novels per term, submit detailed book reviews, and participate in a Book Talk Conference where they interact with renowned Nepali authors.
Clean the Country through the Classroom (CCC)
Through CCC and the Eco Club, students take part in clean-up campaigns at culturally and historically significant sites. These real-world projects encourage students to actively contribute to a cleaner, better society.
United in Action
Students, teachers, and staff come together to organize events for social causes. Funds raised by Grade IX students during our annual Fete Festival are used to support:
- Old-age homes and orphanages
- Government schools (e.g., stationery support to Dhapakhel School)
- Projects for bonded laborers (e.g., training for mothers, classroom construction, library resources)
These activities inspire students to become compassionate, socially-aware citizens.
